Christmas Wishes

It seems an age since our last newsletter; despite heading towards year-end and the associated ‘slowdown’ in the nation’s capital, we’ve been busier than ever.

This month’s newsletter incorporates some of the feedback you shared with us last month. We’re changing the Competition section (it will be on the back page in future) and we’ve introduced a Member’s Profile - on Page Two. We hope you enjoy reading the newsletter and as always we cherish your feedback; don’t be shy – we like to know what you’re thinking/feeling about the Learning Club and this newsletter.

I love this time of year; something happens to our collective consciousness. Suddenly we seem to remember how fun it is to give,  we cherish the delight in others’ eyes when they unwrap our gift or read our card or acknowledge our hug or return our kiss.

It’s also an opportunity to reflect on the past year, on what we’ve achieved compared with what we hoped to achieve. It prompts us to consider our dreams and goals for the coming year, to steel our resolve to replace our bad habits (yes, I have some too) with better habits, to arrive at the end of 2010 in a better space and place than we are today.

For all of us here at Magical Learning, it’s a time to do all of those things and more. We’ll be busy over the break redesigning our website, enhancing our e-Learning platform, expanding the range of qualifications we can offer and looking for opportunities to connect with more people throughout the world.

Personally, I’m looking forward to spending more time at the Farm, enjoying some quiet time with Danette and our kids, riding my motorbike more than looking at it, generally just being instead of doing. It’s the latter that becomes so difficult to achieve during the year – yet it often provides the greatest benefits.

We hope you all have a safe, enjoyable and loving holiday season. Make time to sit with those you love and share the stories that bring smiles to your hearts.

Have a truly magical 2010 - whatever that means for you.

Grahame

Christmas Competition

Last newsletter we asked you to share ideas on what you wanted from us – thank you for all of your responses.

This month - because it is the season to be jolly and to be giving - we are going to donate money to your favourite charity for Xmas.

Yes, we know we’re leaving things a bit late but we figure your charity will appreciate your thoughtfulness at any time of year  :-)

So let us know why your favourite charity deserves some money and we will pick a winner.

Email club@magicallearning.com by cob Thursday 31st December 2009.

Volunteers Needed

Some time ago we asked for ‘testimonials’ from members and many of you were kind enough to allow us to publish your testimonials on our website.

Well, it’s time for an update. As part of our website redesign we want to include some video testimonials from past and present students who feel we’ve helped them along the way. We feel videos are not only more in sync with what’s happening on the ‘Net, but they’re also more personal – and that is a big part of who we are.

These testimonials will be unscripted by us - you can say what you want – and we’ll publish them only on our website. You can choose to tell the world your name or remain anonymous; we don’t mind.

If you are interested, please contact me at grahame@magicallearning.com.
