Investing in Your Future

This newsletter carries a common message: when everyone around you is running scared, stop and take a good hard look at the opportunities.

The global financial crisis has supposedly impacted on every country and every citizen. Governments are tightening their belts, corporations are going under and those that stay afloat do so only by dramatically cutting costs and ‘shedding’ staff (what a strange term to use about people).

In the midst of all of this turmoil and uncertainty, there are opportunities for us all. Investment gurus have been telling us for decades that the best time to buy (invest) is when the market is at its lowest, and it’s hard to imagine the market dropping much further.

But I’m not here to tell you which shares to buy, which stocks are going to perform best over the next five to ten years.

Instead, I’m going to ask you to invest in something that is far more valuable than any stock paper, something of far greater worth, that can provide you with the life you have always dreamed of living, the life that wakes you in the middle of the night with excitement at the coming day, that brings a tear to your eye when you achieve that long-sought goal, the life that holds those you love close so they can share in all of your passion and energy and sense of wonder at who you have become.

I’m going to ask you to invest, in you.

There will never be a better time than now to grow you, as a human being. I don’t care who you work with to achieve that, I don’t care if it has everything or nothing to do with your job, I don’t care if it costs you a lot of money or almost nothing.

Invest in yourself today. Find the things that make you want to give to others, that make you smile and laugh, dream and love.

Make 2009 the year you bit the bullet, ignored all of the doomsayers and started – or continued – the journey towards the life you want to live.

And I’d love it if you’d share your story with us as you go.

Grahame

ARE YOU TIME-RICH?

The producers for the Nest series on SBS are now seeking people in Sydney who may be interested in participation in their new television series.
Have you ever wondered what it’s would be like to be Time Rich?

Australians work the longest hours in the developed world, but nearly half of us say we’d like to work less.

Is this you? Do you ever wonder how the amount of time you spend working impacts on your family, health, or your children’s health? If you’d like to improve your work/life balance, then they want to hear from you.

There’ll be significant rewards for the families who are chosen.

Interested people should email: nestcasting@freehandtv.com.au or
call: 02 9413 8699

If you don’t want to be a star of a TV reality show or don’t live in Sydney but you want more time, check out our Effective Time Management learning event on 4 April 2009.

Visit our website http://www.magicallearning.com/training.html#time for more details.
