Danette fenton-menzies at CPA Week 2025

Welcome back,

August has turned out to be a busy month for the ML team. While Danette has been travelling to Manila and Jakarta talking about The Adaptable Leader as well as running Supervisor courses here in Australia, Grahame has been running leadership communication workshops, and procurement and contract management courses. If you are interested in learning more about these courses and what we can offer you, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

This month our theme is Critical and Analytical Thinking. These are critical skills to develop as AI continues to be used in the workplace.

Critical thinking involves us questioning information, ensuring biases are removed and using good judgement. This is not easy to do in a world that is busy and rampant with misinformation.

Analytical thinking involves breaking down problems into manageable parts and looking at identifying any cause and effect relationships so that you can draw logical conclusions about problems. Both of these are skills important for problem solving and decision-making.

We recently heard a story of a team member sharing information straight out of AI without any further work. This is a lost opportunity, where we can value add as humans.

We will be sharing resources on our social media channels this month to help grow your critical and analytical thinking skills.

Until next month, stay magical.
