Happy Spring everyone,
We had a disrupted August with Danette’s Dad having serious heart issues. Thankfully, he is now on the mend. It required all of us to lean into this month’s theme of Adaptability.
Our brain loves certainty and yet we live and work in environments that continue to change and require us to adapt to them.
Adapting is hard when you are tired and stressed. Taking time out to look after yourself and create a bit of space in your life is a good investment in helping you to adapt more easily.
This month we will be practicing adaptability as Danette helps her parents get back into their routines. Some of the courses we are running include Presentation Skills, Managing Team Dynamics, Supervisor Skills, Strategic Thinking and Strategy Execution, Procurement and Contract Management. Danette will also be co-facilitating a workshop that is part of a retreat in Phuket (for which she is super excited as she has never been to Phuket before).
We hope you enjoy our book review on' The New Rulebook' by Chris Cheers as it has some great ideas to help you redefine the way you live.
We will be sharing resources on our social media channels this month to help you improve your adaptability skills. You can also always check out Danette’s book for a better understanding on being an adaptable leader.
Until next month, stay magical.

Podcast: Adaptive Solutions to Adaptive Problems with Graham Winter and Danette FM
This month, given our theme being Adaptability, it only seemed right to share an episode of Adapt with Danette FM instead of our regular Magical Learning Podcast.
Technical problems have a solution, and once it is reached, the problem is no longer an issue. Adaptive problems have no end goal, and the goals and rules may adjust as time moves along. How do you prepare for the adaptive problem of living in the 2020's? Well, luckily, Danette is joined to break it all down by Graham Winter. Graham is a former Chief Psychologist for three Australian Olympic Teams (how appropriate give this is the first week of the Olympics), Founder of Think One Team Consulting, and author of the business best seller, Think One Team, and co-author of Toolkit for Turbulence. They chat about Graham coming from a sporting background to becoming a psychologist, and some great examples of problem solving and collaboration. This is a conversation that was just an absolute blast. To find out more about Graham: https://www.grahamwinterpsychology.com/
